I am not an ambulance. I do not have a medical vehicle with a stretcher. But I have learned a lot about how to adapt a standard taxi for people with reduced mobility, and it makes a real difference.

A patient coming out of hip surgery gets into a car in a certain way: you tilt the front seat back, they get in feet first, and you do not close the door until the patient is completely settled. It is a detail, but it avoids pain or a bad position for the whole trip.

Folding wheelchairs fit in the boot of an estate vehicle. I load and unload them myself. It took me a few tries at the beginning to do this efficiently, now I have the knack.

What matters for elderly people or those with reduced mobility: time. No rushing. If settling in takes ten minutes, it takes ten minutes. I do not sigh, I do not look at the clock. The client must settle at their own pace without feeling rushed.

For patients in a motorised wheelchair who cannot transfer, a standard taxi is not enough. You need a vehicle with a ramp and a lowered floor, which I do not have. In that case, I can refer you to suitable services or equipped medical-transport providers.

Families often contact me for relatives who need regular help: hospital consultations, physiotherapy, ophthalmologist. I am happy to provide these regular trips. A bond of trust forms with the patient and their family.

If your relative needs PMR transport for light mobility issues in the Gémenos, Aubagne or east Marseille area, call me. We will discuss what suits.
