The Toulon Music Festival is one of France's oldest classical music festivals, in 2026 it celebrates 80 years of existence. Since 1946, it has brought the greatest classical and jazz performers to exceptional venues each June: the Toulon Opera, the Casino stage, the forecourts of historic monuments.
2026 Programme
The definitive 2026 programme will be announced in March. Previous editions have featured Renaud Capuçon, Roberto Alagna, the Orchestre National de France and international chamber music ensembles. Festival concerts generally run from 1 to 30 June, with performances several times a week. Tickets at the Toulon Opera website.
Festival Venues
The Toulon Opera, built in 1862 by Charles Garnier (the same architect as the Paris Opéra), is one of the finest concert halls in the PACA region. The Italian-style auditorium, ceiling frescoes and exceptional acoustics make it a concert setting that few artists accept without enthusiasm.
Toulon is 80 km from Marseille. For a stress-free journey to the festival, MR Taxi Toulon handles transfers from Marseille, Aix and Marseille Provence Airport, available 24/7.
