On Sunday 22 November, nearly 3,000 runners are expected in Istres for the 2026 Istres Half Marathon, around the Étang de l'Olivier. Two main formats: the half marathon (21.1 km) and the 10 km, with also a timed 1 km and children's races.
Two courses, two atmospheres
The course mixes urban sections and natural landscapes along the Étang de Berre and around the Étang de l'Olivier, with aid stations every 5 km on both the half marathon and the 10 km.
The 10 km, more accessible, starts fifteen minutes after the half marathon. Ideal for a first race or for those who prefer a short format.

Traffic in Istres on race day
The organisers warn that major disruption is to be expected in Istres on Sunday, from 8:30am to 12pm depending on the area. The main difficulties concern access to the town centre between 8am and 9:30am, then traffic around the Étang de l'Olivier between 9am and 12pm. Getting there and back
The early start complicates organisation, especially if you are running the half and you are not local.
