Imagine a string quartet in a Romanesque church of a Luberon village at 6pm, with cicadas as background sound and late afternoon light sliding across ochre stones. That is exactly what Les Musicales du Luberon offers, a classical music festival that deliberately chooses the least publicised villages of Vaucluse to host exceptional chamber concerts. Since 1994, this intimate approach has built a loyal community of music lovers who return each summer as if to a cherished family gathering.
Concerts in the secret villages of Vaucluse throughout the summer
In 2026, Les Musicales du Luberon will take place throughout August in some ten villages: Lacoste, Ménerbes, Bonnieux, Gordes, Roussillon, Lourmarin and others. Concerts are generally at 6pm or 9pm, in chapels, château courtyards or village squares, with capacities of 150 to 300 for an intimate atmosphere.
The Luberon by evening with MR Taxi
Luberon villages are often difficult to reach at night: narrow roads, full car parks. MR Taxi provides transfers from Aix-en-Provence, Pertuis or Marseille to festival villages. Combine your musical evening with dinner in one of the excellent restaurants of Bonnieux or Ménerbes for an unforgettable Luberon evening.
