Imagine a string quartet playing Mozart under an arbour, in the heart of a wine estate, at the golden hour when the sun dips over the vines. No concert hall, no numbered seats, just the music, the landscape, and a glass of the estate's wine offered at the interval. That's the promise of Musicales dans les Vignes, a nomadic festival that visits around twenty Provençal estates each summer.
2026 Programme
The festival runs from Friday 19 June to Friday 24 July 2026. The flagship venue is Château Bonisson in Rognes, midway between Aix-en-Provence and the Luberon, where several opening concerts are scheduled. Other festival stages are spread across the Luberon, around Aix, and as far as Sainte-Victoire.
- 19–21 June: opening weekend at Château Bonisson (Rognes), classical quartets and piano recitals
- 26 June – 3 July: Luberon tour (estates in Lourmarin, Cucuron, Ansouis)
- 4–12 July: Aix / Sainte-Victoire leg (estates in Trets, Puyloubier)
- 17–24 July: finale around Salon-de-Provence and Coteaux d'Aix
The festival spirit
Outdoor concerts, limited capacity (200 to 400 depending on the estate), demanding musical programming (classical chamber music, baroque, sometimes gypsy jazz or world music) and, the signature touch, a tasting of the estate's wines included with entry. You arrive around 6:30pm, tour the winery, attend the concert at 7:30pm (roughly 1h15), and leave with a bottle or stay for dinner on site.
It's neither a niche festival for music purists nor a mainstream event, it sits exactly in between: musically exacting, humanly accessible, and deeply rooted in the Provençal terroir.
Getting there from Marseille
Traffic and parking information is communicated by the organisers and the town hall before the event: check it before you set off. MR Taxi drops you as close as possible and picks you up at the exit, from all towns in the region, at the guaranteed maximum price announced at booking. If the place is hard to reach, I will give you an easily accessible meeting point.
