Marseille — Corniche & Beaches: private taxi tour

About 3h15 · Half day

This tour shows you the Marseille of the Marseillais. We start on the Corniche Kennedy, the coastal road opened in 1848 that runs along the sea for five kilometres. Constant views of the Frioul islands, with a possible stop at the famous bench, said to be the longest in the world. Then on to Prado beach: fine sand, palm trees, and a replica of Michelangelo's David placed facing the sea by the inhabitants in the 19th century. This is where Marseille families come, and the atmosphere in the late afternoon is worth the detour. We continue to Parc Borély, a small green lung with its rose garden, its orange tree alleys, its 18th-century château and its museum of decorative arts. I let you walk, breathe and rest in the shade. We finish at Pointe Rouge, a family marina where the shuttles leave for the Calanques and fishermen's cabins sit next to ice-cream shops. The sea always within reach, the hills plunging down. Back to Marseille along the same road, where the evening light changes everything. Call +33 6 98 46 63 34.
