Marseille — Calanques & Cassis: private taxi tour
About 4h50 · Half day
The Calanques are the landscape I most like to show visitors. We leave Marseille by the coast road and first reach Callelongue, at the very end of the Goudes bay. It is the official entrance to the National Park: a small fishing harbour, a path leading towards Marseilleveyre, the sea crashing against white rocks. Then we head up to the Sormiou viewpoint. The little road winds between pines and kermes oaks, and at the end the calanque suddenly appears: turquoise water below, fishermen's cabins at the water's edge, dazzling limestone. I like to stop for a few minutes, just for the scent of resin and the silence. Then we head to Cassis along the heights. The little harbour ringed by colourful houses, the fishing boats coming in, the terraces serving chilled rosé and the catch of the day. I give you time to stroll and have a coffee before we take the road back to Marseille along the corniche. Book on +33 6 98 46 63 34.
