La Ciotat — Calanques & Cap Canaille: private taxi tour

The most spectacular short tour in the area. We leave La Ciotat and in fifteen minutes we reach Cassis. The little harbour ringed by colourful houses, the fishing boats, the Cap Canaille cliff overlooking everything, the ice-cream shops and cafés facing the water. I like to stop at the edge of the harbour, listen to the gulls and smell the fish. Then we take the Route des Crêtes towards Cap Canaille. It is one of the most beautiful panoramic roads in Europe: four hundred metres of red cliff plunging straight into the turquoise sea, with Cassis below and, on a clear day, the Riou archipelago in the distance. I leave you at the viewpoints as long as you like: the silence, the wind, the light changing every minute.
