Gémenos — Marseille Highlights: private taxi tour

In less than half an hour, Gémenos drops you in the heart of Marseille. I like to start with the Old Port: the morning light on the masts, the fish auction on the Quai des Belges, the bustle of the cafés starting up again. Then we climb to Notre-Dame de la Garde. The Bonne Mère has watched over the city since 1864, and from its terrace you take in at a glance everything Marseille can offer: the port, the Frioul islands, the bay, the Calanques to the south. I leave you time to enter the basilica and see the maritime ex-votos hanging from the ceiling. We then go down to Le Panier. I drop you at the entrance, you lose yourself in the narrow lanes and discover the Vieille Charité with its three floors of pink arcades by Pierre Puget.
