Gémenos — Aix-en-Provence & Luberon: private taxi tour

This is a big day to be approached calmly. We leave Gémenos and reach Aix-en-Provence by motorway in fifty minutes. I drop you on the Cours Mirabeau, the avenue of plane trees lined with fountains and mansions that Cézanne frequented every day. The Café des Deux Garçons, the Fontaine des Quatre Dauphins in the Mazarin district, Place d'Albertas with its ochre façades and summer concerts: Aix is best discovered on foot, and I pick you up whenever you like. Then on to the Luberon. First Lourmarin, listed among the most beautiful villages of France, where Camus spent his last summers in a house you can glimpse from the street. Then we climb to Gordes. The village clings to the cliff like a nest, and from the viewpoint on the departmental road you discover the view photographed a thousand times: dry-stone houses piled up, pink tile roofs, cypresses.
